From Calligraphy to Cuisine: Wrens' Chinese New Year Adventure
Back
On Thursday 30th January, Wrens (Year 4) were invited to East Norfolk Sixth Form College in Gorleston, to take part in a Chinese New Year experience to celebrate the year of the snake.
This was an exciting and a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to experience the traditions of another culture and broaden their knowledge and understanding of the world.
During the session, they got the chance to learn about Chinese New Year through a series of activities. They got the opportunity to have a go at Chinese Calligraphy using ink and a horsehair brush, and do some Chinese Traditional Papercutting. They also had the chance to listen to some traditional Chinese music. To complete the session, Wrens got the chance to try some traditional Chinese spring rolls and other traditional Chinese food, these went down very well.
